Mahanaim starlets to return to the Arena after scouting camp

After a successful spring scouting tournament, Mahanaim FC will this Saturday return to its home ground for a match against Rose Football Academy.

The Hot Boys have been away from the Mahanaim Arena for four weeks, while the club shifted attention to the 8-team scouting tournament which was completed in April.

Mahanaim FC hosted selected teams within Abuja for a mini scouting tournament which gave youngsters the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of European scouts.

The tournament featured:

  • Maxisports FC
  • Coal City FC
  • Almasi FC
  • Aston FC
  • Assess FC
  • Sporting Dreams
  • Milantarki FC

Maxisports FC finished the tournament with a perfect 10/10 performance, winning all its matches, while Mahanaim FC players also excelled in numbers.

Nabé Mamadi from Maxisports scored four goals in three matches to finish as the tournament’s highest goal scorer.

Daniel Egwuatu and Fode Aly Camara were also selected among the outstanding players of the scouting tournament.

Before and after the scouting tournament, Mahanaim FC played matches against Chidex FC and Coal City FC.

A friendly match with Chidex ended in a goalless draw, while a match at another scouting event with Coal City ended in a 2-0 win for Mahanaim FC.

Having been away from the Mahanaim Arena on Burundi Street, Wuse Zone 5, for a couple of weeks, the Hot Boys will on their return square off against Rose FA.

This will be their first action since a 3-0 win over N-Youth FC.

The match with Rose FA is set for 4:00 PM and will give fans an opportunity to see the Hot Boys on home turf again.
