Mahanaim FC returned to regular action on Saturday afternoon at the Mahanaim Arena with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Wireless FC.
The Hot Boys had engaged in several showcase games over the past three weeks but marked their return to regular action with a convincing win over a difficult and familiar opponent in Wireless FC.
Debutant Habeeb Abdulqadri stole the spotlight with a brace, while Ahmed Sodiq Olamilekan also got on the scoresheet. Youngster Umar Adamu completed the rout with a spectacular goal to seal the 4-0 victory for Mahanaim.
Only one of the four goals came in the first half, as Mahanaim struggled to convert most of the chances that came their way. However, the Hot Boys returned for the second half with renewed determination and became completely ruthless, adding three more goals to secure an emphatic victory.
The match also featured several debutants who made their official first-team appearances. Salaudeen Abdulhakeem, Sodiq Wasiu, Collins Adams, Abdulrahman Bolaji, Fred Daniel, Ibrahim Musa, Promise Samson and Shammy Elmo all made their debuts for the first team, marking an important milestone in their football careers.
