Mahanaim do the double over Spain FA
Mahanaim FC beat Spain FA for the second time within a few weeks on Thursday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
The first encounter had ended in a 3-1 home victory for the Hot Boys, but their opponents requested a rematch at a different venue.
As it is with their usual fashion, the Hot Boys were able to grind out a 1-0 win despite the fact that coach Saheed Jimoh prosecuted the game with a majority second-string squad.
Although Spain FA mustered a lot of resilience, Mahanaim FC found a breakthrough late in the second half after the introduction of Yusuf Adigun, whose dazzling skills mesmerized the opponents and helped get the goal.
The Hot Boys thus completed a double over a worthy opponent, as Spain FA once again proved themselves to be.
